Meet Pepper(mint)!
She's finished and I love her! What a little cutie. I took her to work to show a friend and I think everyone saw her!! What a great pattern - I MUST write a review on her Etsy Shop page - littlecottonrabbits.typepad.co.uk
Now I'm ready to start on the fox. I'll take pix as I go - I'm hoping to knit her up by the end of the week but we'll see! I have work at 1pm today so probably won't start until tomorrow.
Here are my photo-a-day pix for the past week
The little quilt set was something I made a while ago so I'm taking it home so Twinnee has a gift for one of her friends who's having a baby this summer. Don't look at all the junk in the pic with my sorry looking valentine box! Not much to say about the bowling alley. But I have to say I do love the pic of Lucy on my bed! A trip to the mall was where I saw the candy machines. The lottery ticket was NOT a winner - never is for me and Barnes & Noble is where Hubby and I go to have a Starbucks and read magazines on lazy afternoons!!
Have a great week. Until next time...

It's Been A Busy Week...
Wow! What a busy week it's been. First of all on Monday Twinnee had her back operation. Everything went well and she was allowed to go home on Tuesday. It's amazing how quickly they let you leave hospital these days, but I guess if they think there's not much else they can do that you can't get at home, it's one more bed they can fill. I finished sewing up Pepper(mint) - my adorable little bunny I've been working on from littlecottonrabbits.typepad.co.uk
Now I'm knitting her dress but have only knitted a few rows as I had to work on my Valentine project for work.

Over the past couple of years since I've been working at Crate & Barrel I've been participating in our little holiday crafting competitions. This year for Valentines Day we had the choice of using a brown bag - lunch bag size or a size 3 C&B box. I chose the box and made a stuffed whale. Originally I was going to make a "beached " whale (being me out by the pool!) but decided that someone might take offense so changed my mind at the very last minute. It's okay - but it won't win. The flip flops and bikini are still sitting on my dining room table with the "what might have been" look!!
I booked my ticket home to England for two weeks in March/April to help Twinnee with her recovery so had to go out and start my gift shopping!! Then on Thursday I had to clean the house because M and K were coming home for the weekend. We had a lot of fun. We went out for dinner on Friday night and then on Saturday we played some board games, went bowling, ordered in food and spent a lot of time with The Bean and Sissy (grand daughters). They left Sunday afternoon and then in the evening I went to Bahama Breeze for dinner because we won a free dinner at work for everyone. That was fun as I don't get to spend much time with a lot of the people at work because I work in the back and they work on the sales floor. And then this morning we (hubby, daughter and The Bean and Sissy) went to the mall to get a few clothes for me and the girls.
So I'm way behind on doing anything craft related and even looking on Pinterest! And I'm a day late posting my photo-a-day. Here they are
Peanut (on the right) and Pixie - the other members of the family and dear Lucy our black lab. Maddie our yellow lab doesn't like her picture being taken so I doubt she'll ever make it to my blog in a picture!
I'm going to try and sneak in a few rows of knitting now before I have to babysit. Sorry for such a long post, I'll try better this week. Until next time...

She's Almost Finished!
So I'm almost finished my bunny. She knitted up really quickly but the sewing up is taking a little longer. I'm a bit of a perfectionist so am taking my time sewing the seams together as I want all the stripes to match up perfectly. I decided that I would finish the body first and then knit the dress. That way once I've joined that together then she's finished This is how she looks so far
I've also been reading quite a bit and have finished 2 of the 4 books I checked out of the library. The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society was a fun read. It was one of those books that you could pick up and just read a page or two and always know what was going on. The next book I tried was Cocktail Hour Under The Tree of Forgetfulness. This was recommended to me by a co-worker. Unfortunately I just couldn't get into it so I moved on to A Hundred Pieces of Me. I couldn't put it down! I'm looking forward to reading more books by her - Lucy Dillon and might have to go to the library tomorrow!! The last of the four books was Keep Quiet. I was really turned off by the opening chapters and decided to just return it to the library. I'm thinking that along with some fiction books I may take out a gardening book or two. I have a good selection at home, but it's always nice to read something new. My seed catalogues have arrived so I'll need to start thinking about what I want to grow this year but more on that another day.
Here are my photo-a-day pics for the week. I don't think I've missed a day yet but we're only into early February.
I have a thing for mini teapots what can I say! I think I bought that years ago when I was home visiting with the kids - it may have been the same trip when we went to the Cadbury chocolate factory! I love salads and usually take them to work but I never put tomatoes in it as we buy those for the guinea pigs! The two pics of the trees were taken a day apart. The first day it was foggy and dreary and then the next day was sunny and crisp. And lastly a friend of mine just came back from England and surprised me with some curlywurly's!! I did share them (reluctantly) and they were delish!
Hope you're enjoying your weekend, until next time...

Something New
This month I've decided to start a "What I'm reading this month". We have a great library 10 minutes down the road so I don't really feel the need to buy fiction books unless I'm travelling by plane somewhere, which is not very often. I was recommended a couple of books and the other two I chose from the "new" section in the library.
I'm starting out with The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. This was recommended by someone at work. The last book she recommended I couldn't put down, so I hope this one will be the same.
And here are my Photo-a Day pics for the week.
Sorry about the stamps being blurry - I meant to redo that one but forgot. I think my favourite one for the week is the paw print in the snow. As you can see I'm starting to plan my vegetable garden. Last year it was quite the disaster!
I'm doing pretty well with my knitted bunny. I just have the arms to knit and her dress and then to sew her up, but like I said last time - the instructions and photos are awesome so it should be pretty easy. So until next time...
