She's Almost Finished!
So I'm almost finished my bunny. She knitted up really quickly but the sewing up is taking a little longer. I'm a bit of a perfectionist so am taking my time sewing the seams together as I want all the stripes to match up perfectly. I decided that I would finish the body first and then knit the dress. That way once I've joined that together then she's finished This is how she looks so far
I've also been reading quite a bit and have finished 2 of the 4 books I checked out of the library. The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society was a fun read. It was one of those books that you could pick up and just read a page or two and always know what was going on. The next book I tried was Cocktail Hour Under The Tree of Forgetfulness. This was recommended to me by a co-worker. Unfortunately I just couldn't get into it so I moved on to A Hundred Pieces of Me. I couldn't put it down! I'm looking forward to reading more books by her - Lucy Dillon and might have to go to the library tomorrow!! The last of the four books was Keep Quiet. I was really turned off by the opening chapters and decided to just return it to the library. I'm thinking that along with some fiction books I may take out a gardening book or two. I have a good selection at home, but it's always nice to read something new. My seed catalogues have arrived so I'll need to start thinking about what I want to grow this year but more on that another day.
Here are my photo-a-day pics for the week. I don't think I've missed a day yet but we're only into early February.
I have a thing for mini teapots what can I say! I think I bought that years ago when I was home visiting with the kids - it may have been the same trip when we went to the Cadbury chocolate factory! I love salads and usually take them to work but I never put tomatoes in it as we buy those for the guinea pigs! The two pics of the trees were taken a day apart. The first day it was foggy and dreary and then the next day was sunny and crisp. And lastly a friend of mine just came back from England and surprised me with some curlywurly's!! I did share them (reluctantly) and they were delish!
Hope you're enjoying your weekend, until next time...
